NORTHERN ILLINOIS PARROT SOCIETY |

Membership is open to anyone with an
interest in birds. This includes pet owners, breeders, and
potential bird owners. Each member receives a monthly newsletter
and is invited to attend monthly meetings. The newsletter
includes details on upcoming meetings; local bird fairs,
seminars and future club events; articles regarding bird care
and behavior; legislative updates and advertisements. Members
are also encouraged to participate in activities sponsored by
the Society, such as trips, fundraising and educating others
about the proper care of birds. |

Here are a few of the benefits you'll gain by
becoming a NIPS member: |
- Receive a monthly newsletter (by mail or viewed on secure

- Hear experts in the avian community at our monthly meetings.
- Find out about upcoming meetings, lectures, shows and fairs.
- Learn new tips about avian behavior & training.
- Gain information regarding avian medicine and first aid.
- Hear about new bird products and suppliers.
- Learn about adopting parrots from a local refuge.
- Find breeders of specific bird species.
- Share stories about your pet with other bird owners.

- Discover the differences between a variety of parrot species.
- Get up-to-date information on avian diseases such as:
West Nile Virus, PBFD & PDD.

affecting our pets.

Membership Dues are paid annually on
the anniversary of your join date with NIPS. The current
rates are as follows: |

Individual Membership
$20 per year |
Family Membership
$25 per year |
Commercial Membership
(includes a business card ad)
$50 per year |
Fledgling Membership
(under 12 years of age)
$15 per year |

Payments can be made by cash, check (payable to
NIPS) or credit card via PayPal.
